דָּוִ֔יד David dā·wîḏ הֵכִין֙ had prepared hê·ḵîn בְּגֹ֖רֶן on the threshing floor bə·ḡō·ren אָרְנָ֥ן of Ornan ’ā·rə·nān הַיְבוּסִֽי׃ the Jebusite . hay·ḇū·sî 2 Chronicles 3:2 וַ֠יָּחֶל [Solomon] began way·yā·ḥel לִבְנ֞וֹת construction liḇ·nō·wṯ בַּשֵּׁנִ֔י on the second [day] baš·šê·nî הַשֵּׁנִי֙ of the second haš·šê·nî בַּחֹ֤דֶשׁ month ba·ḥō·ḏeš אַרְבַּ֖ע in the fourth ’ar·ba‘ בִּשְׁנַ֥ת year biš·naṯ לְמַלְכוּתֽוֹ׃ of his reign . lə·mal·ḵū·ṯōw 2 Chronicles 3:3 וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ - wə·’êl·leh הוּסַ֣ד The foundation hū·saḏ שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה that Solomon šə·lō·mōh לִבְנ֖וֹת laid liḇ·nō·wṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בֵּ֣ית for the house bêṯ הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים of God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm שִׁשִּׁ֔ים [was] sixty šiš·šîm אַמּ֞וֹת cubits ’am·mō·wṯ הָאֹ֡רֶךְ long hā·’ō·reḵ עֶשְׂרִֽים׃ and twenty ‘eś·rîm אַמּ֥וֹת cubits ’am·mō·wṯ וְרֹ֖חַב wide , wə·rō·ḥaḇ הָרִֽאשׁוֹנָה֙ according to the old hā·ri·šō·w·nāh בַּמִּדָּ֤ה standard bam·mid·dāh אַמּ֣וֹת - . ’am·mō·wṯ 2 Chronicles 3:4 וְהָאוּלָ֡ם The portico wə·hā·’ū·lām אֲשֶׁר֩ - ’ă·šer עַל־ at ‘al- פְּנֵ֨י the front , pə·nê הָאֹ֜רֶךְ . . . hā·’ō·reḵ עַל־ extending across ‘al- פְּנֵ֤י . . . pə·nê רֹֽחַב־ the width rō·ḥaḇ- הַבַּ֙יִת֙ of the temple , hab·ba·yiṯ עֶשְׂרִ֔ים [was] twenty ‘eś·rîm אַמּ֣וֹת cubits [long] ’am·mō·wṯ מֵאָ֣ה [and] mê·’āh וְעֶשְׂרִ֑ים twenty [cubits] wə·‘eś·rîm וְהַגֹּ֖בַהּ high . wə·hag·gō·ḇah וַיְצַפֵּ֥הוּ He overlaid way·ṣap·pê·hū מִפְּנִ֖ימָה the inside mip·pə·nî·māh טָהֽוֹר׃ with pure ṭā·hō·wr זָהָ֥ב gold . zā·hāḇ 2 Chronicles 3:5 וְאֵ֣ת׀ - wə·’êṯ חִפָּה֙ He paneled ḥip·pāh הַגָּד֗וֹל the main hag·gā·ḏō·wl הַבַּ֣יִת room hab·ba·yiṯ עֵ֣ץ with ‘êṣ בְּרוֹשִׁ֔ים cypress , bə·rō·wō·šîm וַיְחַפֵּ֖הוּ which he overlaid way·ḥap·pê·hū ט֑וֹב with fine ṭō·wḇ זָהָ֣ב gold zā·hāḇ וַיַּ֧עַל and decorated way·ya·‘al עָלָ֛יו . . . ‘ā·lāw תִּמֹרִ֖ים with palm trees ti·mō·rîm וְשַׁרְשְׁרֽוֹת׃ and chains . wə·šar·šə·rō·wṯ 2 Chronicles 3:6 וַיְצַ֧ף He adorned way·ṣap̄ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַבַּ֛יִת the temple hab·ba·yiṯ יְקָרָ֖ה with precious yə·qā·rāh אֶ֥בֶן stones ’e·ḇen לְתִפְאָ֑רֶת for beauty , lə·ṯip̄·’ā·reṯ וְהַזָּהָ֖ב and its gold wə·haz·zā·hāḇ זְהַ֥ב [was] zə·haḇ פַּרְוָֽיִם׃ from Parvaim . par·wā·yim 2 Chronicles 3:7 וַיְחַ֨ף He overlaid way·ḥap̄ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַבַּ֜יִת [its] hab·ba·yiṯ הַקֹּר֧וֹת beams , haq·qō·rō·wṯ הַסִּפִּ֛ים thresholds , has·sip·pîm וְקִֽירוֹתָ֥יו walls , wə·qî·rō·w·ṯāw וְדַלְתוֹתָ֖יו and doors wə·ḏal·ṯō·w·ṯāw זָהָ֑ב with gold , zā·hāḇ וּפִתַּ֥ח and he carved ū·p̄it·taḥ כְּרוּבִ֖ים cherubim kə·rū·ḇîm עַל־ on ‘al- הַקִּירֽוֹת׃ס the walls . haq·qî·rō·wṯ
