1 Chronicles 26:31 לַֽחֶבְרוֹנִי֙ As for the Hebronites , la·ḥeḇ·rō·w·nî יְרִיָּ֣ה Jerijah yə·rî·yāh הָרֹ֔אשׁ was the chief hā·rōš לַֽחֶבְרוֹנִ֥י of the Hebronites , la·ḥeḇ·rō·w·nî לְתֹלְדֹתָ֖יו according to the genealogies lə·ṯō·lə·ḏō·ṯāw לְאָב֑וֹת of his ancestors . lə·’ā·ḇō·wṯ הָֽאַרְבָּעִ֜ים In the fortieth hā·’ar·bā·‘îm בִּשְׁנַ֨ת year biš·naṯ דָּוִיד֙ of David’s dā·wîḏ לְמַלְכ֤וּת reign lə·mal·ḵūṯ נִדְרָ֔שׁוּ [the records] were searched , niḏ·rā·šū גִּבּ֥וֹרֵי and strong , gib·bō·w·rê חַ֖יִל capable men ḥa·yil וַיִּמָּצֵ֥א were found way·yim·mā·ṣê בָהֶ֛ם among [the Hebronites] ḇā·hem בְּיַעְזֵ֥יר at Jazer bə·ya‘·zêr גִּלְעָֽד׃ in Gilead . gil·‘āḏ 1 Chronicles 26:32 וְאֶחָ֣יו Among Jerijah’s relatives wə·’e·ḥāw אַלְפַּ֛יִם [there were] 2,700 ’al·pa·yim וּשְׁבַ֥ע . . . ū·šə·ḇa‘ מֵא֖וֹת . . . mê·’ō·wṯ חַ֗יִל capable ḥa·yil בְּנֵי־ men bə·nê- רָאשֵׁ֣י who were heads rā·šê הָאָב֑וֹת of families . hā·’ā·ḇō·wṯ הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ King ham·me·leḵ דָּוִ֣יד David dā·wîḏ וַיַּפְקִידֵ֞ם appointed them way·yap̄·qî·ḏêm עַל־ over ‘al- הָראוּבֵנִ֤י the Reubenites , hā·r·’ū·ḇê·nî וְהַגָּדִי֙ the Gadites , wə·hag·gā·ḏî וַחֲצִי֙ and the half-tribe wa·ḥă·ṣî שֵׁ֣בֶט . . . šê·ḇeṭ הַֽמְנַשִּׁ֔י of Manasseh ham·naš·šî לְכָל־ for every lə·ḵāl דְּבַ֥ר matter [pertaining to] də·ḇar הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm וּדְבַ֥ר and to the affairs ū·ḏə·ḇar הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃פ of the king . ham·me·leḵ 1 Chronicles 27:1 לְֽמִסְפָּרָ֡ם This is the list lə·mis·pā·rām וּבְנֵ֣י vvv ū·ḇə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל׀ of the Israelites — yiś·rā·’êl רָאשֵׁ֣י the heads rā·šê הָאָב֣וֹת of families , hā·’ā·ḇō·wṯ וְשָׂרֵ֣י the commanders wə·śā·rê הָֽאֲלָפִ֣ים׀ of thousands hā·’ă·lā·p̄îm וְהַמֵּא֡וֹת and of hundreds , wə·ham·mê·’ō·wṯ וְשֹׁטְרֵיהֶם֩ and their officers wə·šō·ṭə·rê·hem הַמְשָׁרְתִ֨ים who served ham·šā·rə·ṯîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ the king ham·me·leḵ לְכֹ֣ל׀ in every lə·ḵōl דְּבַ֣ר matter də·ḇar הַֽמַּחְלְק֗וֹת concerning the divisions ham·maḥ·lə·qō·wṯ הַבָּאָ֤ה on rotating military duty hab·bā·’āh וְהַיֹּצֵאת֙ . . . wə·hay·yō·ṣêṯ חֹ֣דֶשׁ each month ḥō·ḏeš בְּחֹ֔דֶשׁ . . . bə·ḥō·ḏeš לְכֹ֖ל throughout lə·ḵōl חָדְשֵׁ֣י . . . ḥā·ḏə·šê הַשָּׁנָ֑ה the year . haš·šā·nāh עֶשְׂרִ֥ים There were 24,000 men ‘eś·rîm וְאַרְבָּעָ֖ה . . . wə·’ar·bā·‘āh אָֽלֶף׃ס . . . ’ā·lep̄ הָֽאַחַ֔ת in each hā·’a·ḥaṯ הַֽמַּחֲלֹ֙קֶת֙ division : ham·ma·ḥă·lō·qeṯ 1 Chronicles 27:2 יָֽשָׁבְעָ֖ם Jashobeam yā·šā·ḇə·‘ām בֶּן־ son ben- זַבְדִּיאֵ֑ל of Zabdiel zaḇ·dî·’êl עַ֞ל was in charge of ‘al הָרִֽאשׁוֹנָה֙ the first hā·ri·šō·w·nāh הַמַּחֲלֹ֤קֶת division , ham·ma·ḥă·lō·qeṯ הָרִאשׁ֔וֹן [which was assigned] the first hā·ri·šō·wn לַחֹ֣דֶשׁ month . la·ḥō·ḏeš עֶשְׂרִ֥ים [There were] 24,000 ‘eś·rîm וְאַרְבָּעָ֖ה . . . wə·’ar·bā·‘āh אָֽלֶף׃ . . . ’ā·lep̄ וְעַל֙ [men] in wə·‘al מַֽחֲלֻקְתּ֔וֹ his division . ma·ḥă·luq·tōw 1 Chronicles 27:3 מִן־ - min- בְּנֵי־ He was a descendant bə·nê- פֶ֗רֶץ of Perez p̄e·reṣ הָרֹ֛אשׁ and chief hā·rōš לְכָל־ of all lə·ḵāl הַצְּבָא֖וֹת the army haṣ·ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ שָׂרֵ֥י commanders śā·rê
