לְעֹבֵ֥ד [in all] lə·‘ō·ḇêḏ אֱדֹֽם׃ from Obed-edom . ’ĕ·ḏōm 1 Chronicles 26:9 וְלִמְשֶֽׁלֶמְיָ֗הוּ Meshelemiah wə·lim·še·lem·yā·hū בָּנִ֧ים also had sons bā·nîm וְאַחִ֛ים and brothers wə·’a·ḥîm חָ֖יִל who were capable ḥā·yil בְּנֵי־ men — bə·nê- שְׁמוֹנָ֥ה 18 [in all] šə·mō·w·nāh עָשָֽׂר׃ס . . . . ‘ā·śār 1 Chronicles 26:10 וּלְחֹסָ֥ה Hosah ū·lə·ḥō·sāh מִן־ - min- בְּנֵי־ the Merarite bə·nê- מְרָרִ֖י . . . mə·rā·rî בָּנִ֑ים also had sons : bā·nîm שִׁמְרִ֤י Shimri šim·rî הָרֹאשׁ֙ the first hā·rōš כִּ֣י ( although kî הָיָ֣ה he was hā·yāh לֹא־ not lō- בְכ֔וֹר the firstborn , ḇə·ḵō·wr אָבִ֖יהוּ his father ’ā·ḇî·hū וַיְשִׂימֵ֥הוּ had appointed him way·śî·mê·hū לְרֹֽאשׁ׃ as the first ), lə·rōš 1 Chronicles 26:11 חִלְקִיָּ֤הוּ Hilkiah ḥil·qî·yā·hū הַשֵּׁנִי֙ the second , haš·šê·nî טְבַלְיָ֣הוּ Tebaliah ṭə·ḇal·yā·hū הַשְּׁלִשִׁ֔י the third , haš·šə·li·šî זְכַרְיָ֖הוּ and Zechariah zə·ḵar·yā·hū הָרְבִעִ֑י the fourth . hā·rə·ḇi·‘î בָּנִ֧ים The sons bā·nîm וְאַחִ֛ים and brothers wə·’a·ḥîm לְחֹסָ֖ה of Hosah lə·ḥō·sāh שְׁלֹשָׁ֥ה [numbered] 13 šə·lō·šāh עָשָֽׂר׃ . . . ‘ā·śār כָּל־ in all . kāl- 1 Chronicles 26:12 לְ֠אֵלֶּה These lə·’êl·leh מַחְלְק֨וֹת divisions maḥ·lə·qō·wṯ הַשֹּֽׁעֲרִ֜ים of the gatekeepers , haš·šō·‘ă·rîm לְרָאשֵׁ֧י through their chief lə·rā·šê הַגְּבָרִ֛ים men , hag·gə·ḇā·rîm מִשְׁמָר֖וֹת had duties miš·mā·rō·wṯ לְשָׁרֵ֖ת for ministering lə·šā·rêṯ בְּבֵ֥ית in the house bə·ḇêṯ יְהוָֽה׃ of YHWH , Yah·weh לְעֻמַּ֣ת just as lə·‘um·maṯ אֲחֵיהֶ֑ם their brothers did . ’ă·ḥê·hem 1 Chronicles 26:13 וַיַּפִּ֨ילוּ They cast way·yap·pî·lū גוֹרָל֜וֹת lots ḡō·w·rā·lō·wṯ לְשַׁ֥עַר for each gate , lə·ša·‘ar וָשָֽׁעַר׃פ . . . wā·šā·‘ar אֲבוֹתָ֖ם according to their families ’ă·ḇō·w·ṯām לְבֵ֥ית . . . , lə·ḇêṯ כַּקָּטֹ֧ן young kaq·qā·ṭōn כַּגָּד֛וֹל and old alike . kag·gā·ḏō·wl 1 Chronicles 26:14 הַגּוֹרָ֛ל The lot hag·gō·w·rāl מִזְרָ֖חָה for the East [Gate] miz·rā·ḥāh וַיִּפֹּ֧ל fell way·yip·pōl לְשֶֽׁלֶמְיָ֑הוּ to Shelemiah . lə·še·lem·yā·hū גּֽוֹרָל֔וֹת Then lots gō·w·rā·lō·wṯ הִפִּ֙ילוּ֙ were cast hip·pî·lū בְנ֜וֹ for his son ḇə·nōw וּזְכַרְיָ֨הוּ Zechariah , ū·zə·ḵar·yā·hū בְּשֶׂ֗כֶל a wise bə·śe·ḵel יוֹעֵ֣ץ׀ counselor , yō·w·‘êṣ גוֹרָל֖וֹ and the lot ḡō·w·rā·lōw צָפֽוֹנָה׃ס for the North Gate ṣā·p̄ō·w·nāh וַיֵּצֵ֥א fell to him . way·yê·ṣê 1 Chronicles 26:15 נֶ֑גְבָּה [The lot for] the South [Gate] neḡ·bāh לְעֹבֵ֥ד [fell] to lə·‘ō·ḇêḏ אֱדֹ֖ם Obed-edom , ’ĕ·ḏōm בֵּ֥ית and the lot for the storehouses bêṯ הָאֲסֻפִּֽים׃ . . . hā·’ă·sup·pîm וּלְבָנָ֖יו to his sons . ū·lə·ḇā·nāw 1 Chronicles 26:16 לַֽמַּעֲרָ֔ב [The lots] for the West Gate lam·ma·‘ă·rāḇ עִ֚ם and ‘im שַׁלֶּ֔כֶת the Shallecheth šal·le·ḵeṯ
